A Shot of Wellness

So many people around me have been getting sick lately!

I like to take a proactive approach to protecting my immune system, especially after COVID.

That’s why I love to make a Lemon-Ginger Wellness Shot that is as delicious and spicy as it is good for boosting immunity, calming indigestion, and reducing inflammation.

Pro hack: Pre-make it in a big batch over the weekend and freeze it into ice cubes. I pop one out in the morning and let it defrost as I get ready for the day.

Check out the recipe below (thanks to Canyon Ranch for the delicious inspiration!) and let me know what you think.

Recipe courtesy of Canyon Ranch:

💦 4 Tbsp + 1 tsp Hot Water
🍯 2.5 Tbsp Honey
🌶️ 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper
🍋 2/3 Cup Lemon Juice
🥤 1/2 Cup Ginger Juice

1. Pour hot water into a cup with honey and cayenne pepper. Stir until honey is dissolved.
2. Add lemon and ginger juice and stir to combine.
3. Enjoy hot or cold.

Notes: To make ginger juice, you can run washed ginger (unpeeled) through a juicer machine. Or take washed ginger (unpeeled) and grate It using the fine side of a box grater, or using a micro-plane. Take the grated ginger and using cheese cloth or a kitchen towel, squeeze out the juice.
