Intuition Can Be Your Superpower
I’ve spent years in boardrooms, on planes, and behind the scenes of growing brands. But I’ve also spent time in silence—gardening, walking barefoot on the ranch, and learning to hear my gut instinct.
It took years to trust it.
When I built my first company, I relied on data and strategy. But I also had a quiet knowing—an intuition. In one meeting with a potential partner, everything looked right on paper, but my gut whispered, “Not this.” I ignored it. Six months later, we were untangling a mess I could’ve avoided.
That was my turning point.
I stopped seeing intuition as “woo” and started seeing it as a superpower. Your gut is intelligence—your body and subconscious speaking before your brain catches up.
But you can’t hear it if you’re always rushing, disconnected, or running on empty.
For me, intuition gets clearer when I’m grounded: good sleep, movement, real food, and quiet moments. My best decisions aren’t made in boardrooms they happen on hikes, during meditation, or while harvesting citrus from the orchard.
Intuition is a core part of the Mindfulness pillar in my hashtag#ThinkVitality framework. It’s not just about stress reduction; it’s about accessing deep clarity as a leader.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
▻ If something feels off, it probably is.
▻ If your body tightens in a room, trust that.
▻ If something gives you goosebumps, that’s alignment.
▻ If your inner voice gets quieter as you get busier, slow down. It has wisdom.
Your gut instinct isn’t noise it’s your most ancient compass. When you trust it, you lead with depth, not just data.
To your vitality,
Lizanne
