Can You “Detox” Spike Protein After a Vaccine or Infection?

There’s an ongoing conversation in the longevity and integrative medicine space around spike protein detoxification — a concept that's being explored by researchers and clinicians trying to understand the long-term effects of both viral infections and mRNA vaccinations.

On a recent episode of the Shawn Ryan Show, Shawn and Gary Brecka discussed Dr. Peter McCullough’s supplement formulation containing nattokinase, bromelain, and thymulin. These are natural compounds believed to support the body in breaking down and possibly eliminating spike proteins. Early in-vitro studies suggest nattokinase may degrade spike proteins in a lab setting, and several functional practitioners are beginning to explore its broader use in real-world health strategies.

Other voices, like Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Dr. Ryan Cole, and researchers in the FLCCC (Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance), have also mentioned the potential role of enzyme therapy and nutritional support in managing lingering post-viral or post-vaccine symptoms — though data is still limited, and clinical trials have not yet validated these protocols in humans.

This is an emerging theory, not a proven science. There’s currently no gold-standard clinical evidence that shows this type of “detox” reliably removes spike proteins or improves health outcomes. The idea of tracking “urinary spike protein” levels, which some people reference, also lacks standardized testing and medical consensus.

That said — the curiosity and innovation in this space are important. I believe in keeping an open mind while still practicing discernment. If this topic interests you, I encourage you to speak with your doctor, a peptide specialist, or a trusted integrative practitioner before trying anything new.

I’m simply sharing conversations and ideas I’m watching unfold in the wellness space — always with the goal of helping people become more informed and more connected to their bodies.
