My Second Plasma Exchange: Why I Believe It’s One of the Most Powerful Rejuvenation Therapies Available Today
Last week, I completed my second plasma exchange treatment, and once again I walked away fascinated by what modern medicine is making possible in the world of longevity and proactive health. The procedure itself is surprisingly straightforward. Blood is drawn, a portion of the plasma is removed and replaced, and the blood is returned to the body. The entire process took about 72 minutes. What interests me most is the science behind it.
As we age, our plasma can accumulate inflammatory proteins and biological signals associated with aging. Plasma exchange is designed to reduce some of that burden, helping create a healthier internal environment that may support resilience, recovery, and healthy aging.
After both treatments, I noticed subtle but meaningful changes: clearer thinking, better energy, and a feeling that my body was operating with less resistance. Not a dramatic overnight transformation, but a reminder that small improvements can add up over time.
This feels especially relevant after an intense season preparing my property for my niece's wedding. Like many women, I pushed through long days, physical demands, and very little downtime. It reinforced something I have learned repeatedly: recovery matters just as much as performance.
The future of longevity isn't simply about living longer. It's about staying vibrant, capable, and engaged in life for as many years as possible. While the research on plasma exchange continues to evolve, I am encouraged by the shift toward proactive medicine - supporting health before problems arise rather than waiting for disease to develop.
One more treatment to go. I'm looking forward to seeing how my body responds as I complete the series.
