Make Alcohol a Celebration, Not a Habit

Consciously, I have not had any alcohol in about a year, but that doesn’t mean I’d pass up an exceptional Barolo or a glass of great champagne. I love celebrating and savoring life.

But I’ve changed the way I think about alcohol. I want it to mark a special occasion, not become a daily ritual.

The difference I feel when I don’t drink is remarkable. I sleep better, wake up with more clarity, and have more sustained energy. All those things are key when you’re running a business and making decisions all day, that mental clarity is invaluable.

I’m also thinking much more intentionally about longevity. Alcohol isn’t helping my sleep, recovery or long-term health, so why make it an everyday habit?

Enjoy the champagne, and drink the beautiful wine. Celebrate the big moments, just don’t let an ordinary Tuesday become the occasion.
