Why I Added Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to My Wellness Prevention Toolkit
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on my longevity journey is this: wellness isn’t something we chase when something goes wrong; it’s something we build every day. That mindset is why I chose to integrate Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) into my routine.
Years ago, hyperbaric chambers felt clinical, claustrophobic and intimidating. Today, the experience is entirely different - calm, spacious (some pods fit 2 people), and easy to incorporate into real life. You can relax, listen to music, even work. Healing doesn’t have to feel isolating.
HBOT isn’t new to me. I’ve used it to support recovery and cognitive clarity, but recently I began using it more intentionally as part of a long-term prevention strategy. By delivering oxygen under increased pressure, it helps support circulation, cellular repair, and inflammation balance.
What I noticed wasn’t dramatic, it was foundational: steadier energy, faster recovery, clearer focus, and confidence that I was supporting my body at a deeper level.
This experience reinforced something I believe deeply: true wellness is proactive. Vitality isn’t built in moments of crisis, it’s built through the daily decisions we make to support our biology before we need to.
