The Peptide I’m Exploring for Vision Repair. And Why It Matters to Me.
I spend a lot of time studying longevity, but every so often I come across something that hits closer to home. Recently, I’ve been learning more about Epithalon, a peptide connected to cellular repair, healthy aging, and emerging research around supporting vision.
This one is personal. My mother has advanced degenerative eye disease and is nearly legally blind. Watching someone you love slowly lose their ability to see changes you. We still don’t know exactly why some people develop it, but it likely comes down to a blend of genetics and environmental influences. I’ve even caught myself shielding my eyes lately not out of vanity, but out of fear that this could be my path too.
That’s why Epithalon caught my attention. Early research suggests it may help support retinal health, reduce oxidative stress, and encourage healthier cellular turnover in aging eye tissue. It’s not a cure, but it’s a promising area of longevity science that I’m paying attention to.
For me, this it’s about being proactive, and honoring the lessons my mother is teaching me in real time to protect what I can, while I still can. Wellness is deeply personal, and sometimes the things we research are the things we quietly worry about the most.
To your vitality,
Lizanne
