The Heart of Women’s Wellness is Community
This past weekend, I had the gift of gathering with six incredible women friends who feel like family, with bonds spanning over two decades of work, play, and shared lives. Each brought her own brilliance, history, stories, and spirit. We shared meals, laughter, quiet reflection, and those conversations that leave your heart a little fuller, and your soul a little lighter.
As I sat in the beauty of the setting, surrounded by women I deeply admire, I was reminded of something essential: community isn’t a luxury, It’s earned wellness.
We often think of wellness as nutrition, fitness, supplements, or the latest biohacking tool. And yes, those matter. But there’s another layer, one just as vital to our longevity and quality of life: CONNECTION.
Research shows strong social ties lower stress, reduce the risk of chronic disease, and even extend lifespan. But beyond the science, connection creates joy. It’s a reset button for the mind and spirit. Reminding us we’re not alone, that our dreams are valid, our struggles are shared, and our voices are heard.
Belonging is its own form of medicine.
This weekend wasn’t about agendas or achievements. It was about celebrating life, honoring friendship, and recognizing that the people we choose to surround ourselves with shape our energy, mindset, and health. That’s why I believe community, especially among women, is one of the most overlooked wellness hacks.
So here’s my reminder (to myself and maybe to you): life is short. Days fly by. Kids grow up. Work deadlines blur. But choosing to pause, gather, and share space with women who lift you up - that is where real vitality lives.
To my six amazing friends: thank you for reminding me that connection is the heartbeat of wellness.
To your vitality,
Lizanne
