The Problem With Wellness Today: The Science Keeps Changing

One of the questions I get asked most often is: "What's the best supplement, peptide, diet, or longevity protocol?" My answer is always the same: it depends.

After more than two decades immersed in wellness and longevity, I've learned that one of the biggest challenges consumers face is keeping up with constantly evolving information. What we believed ten years ago - and sometimes even a few years ago - may no longer hold true. That's not a flaw in science. That's science working.

The problem is that social media rewards certainty, while science rewards curiosity. We're constantly sold products that promise to reverse aging, detox the body, or solve complex health challenges with a single solution. The reality is that health is highly individualized. What works for one person may not work for another.

While innovations like peptides, exosomes, wearable technology, and personalized medicine are exciting, innovation and marketing are not the same thing. Whenever I evaluate a new wellness trend, I ask: Is there real science behind it? What are the risks? What are the benefits? Who profits if I believe it? Despite all the advances, the fundamentals remain unchanged: sleep, strength training, movement, nutrition, stress management, and human connection.

Be excited about innovation, but don't abandon common sense. The healthiest people I know stay curious, question everything, and avoid miracle cures.
